Solution 1- Terminate the MSIEXEC.EXE process in the background
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete on the keyboard and select Task Manager from the options.
- Go to the Processes tab in the task manager window and search MSIEXEC.exe in the process list.
- Single-click on the process to highlight it and click End Task.
- Close the task manager.
- Open the Command Prompt window using the search panel.
- Type icacls ”C:\Config.Msi”/T/C/grant administrators:F in the black screen of the CMD and press Enter.
- Close the command prompt window after executing the command and try installing QuickBooks again.
Solution 2- Mend the installation problem using the QuickBooks Tool hub
- Launch the QuickBooks Tool hub on your computer and go to the Installation issues menu.
- Single-click Run Install Diagnostic Tool from the options and wait until the tool finishes.
