When will Sync Manager be discontinued?

  • Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Bank Transactions and click Update.
  • In case Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is asked, just enter it and hit on Continue update.
While the updates are being made, you can continue working in QuickBooks normally. It could take a while.

Step 1: Start a manual download

QuickBooks automatically gets the most recent transactions from most banks every night at about 10 PM PT. Some of these can take longer. You can force a download if it seems to be stalled or if you want the most recent transactions.
  • Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, 
  • Then select Bank transactions > Update.
All your linked financial accounts will now reflect the changes. If QuickBooks downloads additional transactions, the total number of transactions displayed in each account tile will increase.
Tip: To proceed with the update, if prompted for further authentication, follow the on-screen instructions. Some financial institutions have this requirement, while others do not.

Step 2: Check your bank's or credit card's website

It might be an issue on the end of the bank if downloads are slow or frozen. Check your balance after you have logged into your bank's website.
To begin, get QuickBooks's server address:
  • Go to Bookkeeping and choose Transactions > Bank Transactions.
  • Click on the Link account. Note: You will not add an account, you just need the listed URL.
  • Search for your bank, select it, and copy the URL listed for your bank.
  • Using the copied URL, log in to your bank or credit card account.
If you can log in, it probably means there is not a serious problem. 
  • First, see whether you have any new messages, alerts, or notifications.
  • As you navigate the site, keep an eye out for any displayed problems. This can prevent QuickBooks from receiving updated financial data.
  • Visit your bank's website to see if there are any updates on increased security measures.
If everything seems fine, you may return to QuickBooks:
  • Go to Bookkeeping >Transactions >Bank Transactions.
  • Click on the option Update.
