QuickBooks Online automatically downloads daily transactions when a bank account is linked to online banking. You can refresh the connection to get the most recent transactions if you do not wish to wait for the scheduled download.

Step 1: Start a manual download

- Then select Bank transactions > Update.

It might be an issue on the end of the bank if downloads are slow or frozen. Check your balance after you have logged into your bank's website.
To begin, get QuickBooks's server address:
- Go to Bookkeeping and choose Transactions > Bank Transactions.
- Click on the Link account. Note: You will not add an account, you just need the listed URL.
- Search for your bank, select it, and copy the URL listed for your bank.
- Using the copied URL, log in to your bank or credit card account.
If you can log in, it probably means there is not a serious problem.
- First, see whether you have any new messages, alerts, or notifications.
- As you navigate the site, keep an eye out for any displayed problems. This can prevent QuickBooks from receiving updated financial data.
- Visit your bank's website to see if there are any updates on increased security measures.
If everything seems fine, you may return to QuickBooks:
- Go to Bookkeeping >Transactions >Bank Transactions.
- Click on the option Update.
